The MCOECN Value-Added
Reseller (VAR) program was started in the Spring of 1995.
As a VAR the MCOECN
is able to provide educational entities in Ohio access to computer
and data communications
equipment, software and other electronic information resources,
and professional development
opportunities at competitive pricing. By pooling the
purchasing power of large groups
of Ohio's educational entities, the MCOECN VAR can
provide high quality
products coupled with installation and support services provided through
the regional Data Acquisition
Sites (DAS) of the Ohio Education Computer Network.
Purchases made through
the MCOECN VAR program provide a double return for Member
Districts. Profits
made through this program are returned to the educational community in
the
form of professional
development opportunities and other programs which strengthen the OECN.
Sales are limited to
K-12 educational and governmental agencies within Ohio.
